Cream Cheese
Bread
This recipe yields a 1 1/2 pound loaf.
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup softened cream cheese
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 beaten egg
4 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 cup bread flour
1 1/2 tsp. active dry yeast
Place the ingredients in the bread pan in the order recommended by your machine's
manufacturer. Process on the Basic cycle, Light Crust setting.
Alternately, let dough to rise once in the machine, then form a loaf, place
it in a nonstick sprayed 9x5-in. loaf pan. Let it rise to double. Bake in
a 350F. oven for approximately 35 minutes. Excellent color, texture, and
taste.
Comments: This dough would make excellent cinnamon rolls.
Cream of Wheat Bread (bread machine)
1 cup Milk
1/4 cup Oil
1 Med Egg
2 Tbsp Sugar
3/4 Tsp Salt
2 cups Bread Flour
1 cup Cream of Wheat -- uncooked
1 1/2 Tsp Yeast
Add ingredients in order.
Makes a wonderful, high iron, filling bread. We use this for French toast.
This may seem like it needs more water when it is a few minutes into the
kneading, but wait for about 20 minutes to make any changes. As the Cream
of Wheat absorbs some of the moisture, it will thicken up.

Bread : The Best in Bread Machine
Baking
1 POUND LOAF
3/4 cup water plus
1 tbsp water
2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 tsp salt
4 tsp honey
4 tsp molasses
2 tsp wheat gluten
4 tsp olive oil
1/2 cup assorted seeds
2 tsp active dry yeast
1 1/2 POUND LOAF
1 1/4 cups water plus
1 tbsp water
3 cups whole-wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp molasses
1 tbsp wheat gluten
2 tbsp olive oil
2/3 assorted seeds
3 tsp active dry yeast
Success Hints: The original recipe used equal amounts pumpkin, flax and sunflower
seeds. I used what I had on hand at the time; a combination of sunflower,
sesame, poppy, caraway, anise, and fennel seeds.
The directions say for best results, use the "extra knead" process and add
seeds near the end of the first knead. My machine doesn't have any such cycle,
so I just used the regular setting. In addition, I added the seeds at the
beginning along with all the other ingredients.
Personal note: I expected to get a short, dense loaf and was pleasantly surprised
at how high it rose. This one's a keeper!
