Dill Bread (West
Bend)
9 ounces warm water (90-100 degrees F) (1 cup plus 2 tablespoons)
3 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 tablespoon dill weed
1 1/2 tablespoons dry milk powder
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
Add lukewarm water to bread pan
Add dry ingredients, except yeast to pan. Tap pan to settle ingredients,
then level ingredients, pushing some of the mixture into the corners. Place
butter into corners of pan.
Make a well in center of dry ingredients; add yeast and lock pan into bread
maker.
Program for basic and desired crust color and start bread maker.
When done, turn off and remove bread from pan and cool on rack before slicing.
Makes 1 (1 1/2 pound loaf)

1 Cup Water
2 tablespoons Margarine or butter ,soften
1 egg
3 1/4 cups Gold Medal Better for Bread flour
1/4cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons of yeast
Place all dough ingredient in bread machine pan in order listed.
Select Sweet dough cycle.
Grease a cookie sheet.Divide dough into 15 pieces. Shape each into a ball.
Place 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.Brush with Margarine. Cover, let rise
30 to 40 minutes or until double. Heat oven to 375 degree's
Bake 12 to 15 minutes. Brush tops with margarine if desired.
Makes 15 rolls
Dinner Rolls (Bread Machine)
Makes: 18
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
1/4 cup sugar
3 cups bread flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
1/4 cup shortening
3 tablespoons powdered milk
1 1/2 cups water -- warmed
Put all the ingredients in order into the bread maker.
Select the sweet bread/manual cycle for the bread maker.
Only allow it to kneed and rise one time.
Grease hands and pinch off pieces and place on a cookie sheet that has been
sprayed with non-stick spray.
Let rise until double.
Bake for 15-18 minutes at 350
NOTES : These can be made with a mixer if you use less flour. Add flour 1/2
cup at a time to the liquids until the mixture starts to pull away from the
sides of the bowl. No kneading necessary.
