Heartland Raisin Nut Bread

Ultimate Bread Machine Cookbook (The

2 1/4 teaspoons Yeast
2 1/2 cups Bread flour
1/2 cup Whole wheat flour
3 tablespoons Wheat germ -- toasted
1 1/2 teaspoons Salt
1 tablespoon Brown sugar -- dark
4 tablespoons Powdered milk
1 tablespoon Butter or margarine
1 cup Water -- plus 2 TB
1 large Egg
1 teaspoon Lemon juice
3 tablespoons Raisins -- dark
3 tablespoons Raisins -- golden
1/3 cup Walnuts, chopped -- toasted
Place all ingredients in machine and push start! Use raisin bread cycle if
possible, adding fruit and nuts at beep.
Herb and Cheese Loaf
SMALL LOAF:
2 cups bread flour
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 1/2 tablespoons dry milk (2 tablespoons)
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar (2 tablespoons)
1 1/4 teaspoons Italian herb seasoning (2 teaspoons)
3/4 teaspoon salt (1 1/4 teaspoon)
1 1/2 teaspoons rapid-rising yeast (2 teaspoons)
3/4 cup lukewarm water (1 1/8 cups)
LARGE LOAF:
3 cups bread flour
1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons dry milk
2 tablespoons sugar
2 teaspoons Italian herb seasoning
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons rapid-rising yeast
1 cup plus 2 tablespoons lukewarm water
Measure ingredients and place in bread machine pan in order that manufacturer
suggests.
Select regular or rapid cycle. Do not use delayed cycle for this recipe.

Herb Bread
1 1/2 tablespoons butter
2 ounces warm milk
7 ounces warm water
1 1/2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups bread flour
3 tablespoons dried chives
3 tablespoons dried parsley
1 tablespoon dill weed
1 1/2 teaspoons yeast
Place ingredients in the bread machine in the order listed and press start.
*To warm the milk, use hot water instead of warm and add the milk to it.
Makes 1 (1 1/2 lb) loaf
